    1. The TeXlive in MacPorts seems a bit too fresh to me.

  7. Install NetNewsWire.

  8. Install Adium.

  9. Install Firefox.

    1. Copy bookmarks from the 1.5 profile, leave the rest.

    2. Install extension DOM Inspector.

    3. Install extension Firebug.

    4. Install extension Live HTTP Headers.

    5. Install extension Web Developer.

    6. In about:config, set browser.tabs.loadFolderAndReplace to false.

    7. Install macfoxII theme.

  10. Install Emacs.

  11. w3m is broken due to boehmgc in MacPorts, these instructions work.
